Primary/Secondary Engineering Education Facilitator

You'll deliver engaging, hands-on engineering incursion programs to students across schools, tutoring centres, and neighbourhood centres. This includes leading workshops, guiding classroom discussions on topics like gears and movement or programming logic, helping students build and debug projects, and managing classroom behaviour and atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Deliver fun and engaging workshops to students
- Lead and facilitate classroom sessions
- Collaborate with teachers and staff
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Manage student behaviour and classroom atmosphere
Must Have
- Studying Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering or related field
- Experience working with basic hardware tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for teaching
- Working with Children's Check (or willingness to obtain one)
Nice to Have
- Driver's licence and access to a personal vehicle
- Weekday and weekend availability
- Robotics/mechatronics project experience
- Prior teaching experience
Logistics
- Most venues are accessible by public transport; a car is a plus but not required. Travel time is compensated.
- Schedules depend on venue programming days — we aim to work around your university timetable.
- Full training provided before your first session, covering (1) how each project works and (2) our teaching approach and classroom structure.
- New facilitators start by shadowing experienced staff, with the goal of building you into a lead educator over time.
